Mobile Phone/NBN Base Stations

Advice on whether mobile phone and NBN base stations are associated with health effects

There are mobile phone and National Broadband Network (NBN) base station antennas on towers and buildings throughout Australia. These antennas are part of the mobile phone and NBN networks and they emit low level radiofrequency (RF) electromagnetic energy (EME).

Based on current research there are no established health effects from the low level exposure to the RF EME from mobile phone and NBN base station antennas.
