Australian National Radiation Dose Register - Request Dose History

The Australian National Radiation Dose Register (ANRDR) allows workers in the Australian uranium mining industry to keep track of their radiation doses. To find out more and request a dose history report, see Request a Dose History.

Electromagnetic Radiation Calibration

Calibration services including calibration of radiofrequency hazard meters, gauss meters, and personal RF hazard meters using test methods: TEM cell, anechoic chamber, wave-guide calibration apparatus or for ELF frequencies a Helmholtz coil.

For more information or to download the form to request further information, visit Radiofrequency Electromagnetic Radiation Calibration or phone (03) 9433 2211.

Electromagnetic Radiation Health Complaints Register

ARPANSA maintains an Australian Electromagnetic Radiation (EMR) Health Complaints Register. The Health Complaints Register collects reports of health concerns related to possible EMR field exposures in the range of 0-300 GHz.

For more information or to download the report form, visit Electromagnetic Radiation Health Complaints Register or phone (03) 9433 2211.

Hire of Radiation Meters

We offer two types of meters you can hire to measure radiation in and around your home - a magnetic field meter or an ionising radiation meter.

For more information visit the Hire of Radiation Meters page or phone (03) 9433 2211.

National Uniformity Issues - Stakeholder Feedback

ARPANSA is interested in hearing from businesses that have encountered difficulties with licensing, registration, shielding, disposals, transport, or other mutual recognition issues when dealing with different radiation regulators.

For more information see National Uniformity.

NDRL Image Guided Interventional Procedures

The Image Guided Interventional Procedure (IGIP) survey will determine diagnostic reference levels (DRL) for five common interventional and diagnostic angiography fluoroscopic procedures.

For more information see NDRL Modality Surveys.

Personal Radiation Monitoring Service

Centre Registration Forms and Wearer Registration Forms

Personal monitoring is useful for checking the adequacy of radiation protection. It can be used for documenting the occupational doses of wearers, especially when the wearer is accidentally exposed, and to show inadequate or improper radiation protection practices.

The requirement for specific occupations to be monitored varies from state to state. Please check these requirements with your Regulatory Authority.

Find the relevant forms at PRMS Forms.

For more information visit the PRMS page or phone 1800 678 112.

Radiation Protection Series Publications

The Radiation Protection Series of publications is a series published by ARPANSA. It replaces the Radiation Health Series, formerly published by the National Health and Medical Research Council and now the responsibility of ARPANSA.

For more information visit the Radiation Protection Series page or phone (03) 9433 2211.

To order hardcopies, visit the Radiation Protection Series Order Form page.

Radioanalytical Services

Radioanalytical services operates within the Monitoring and Emergency Response Section of ARPANSA and provides a commercial service for the measurement of radioactivity in food samples.

For more information visit the Radioanalytical Services page or phone (03) 9433 2211.

Client Request form can be downloaded from the Radioanalytical Services Client Information page.

Regulatory Forms

See Information for Applicants for to learn how to apply for a licence.

Forms for Licence Holders can be found on the Regulatory Forms page.

Ultraviolet Radiation (UVR) Services

The ARPANSA UV laboratory performs Ultraviolet Protection Factor (UPF) testing on fabrics and other materials. The UPF rating indicates how effective a fabric is at blocking out solar ultraviolet radiation.

See Ultraviolet Radiation (UVR) Services.
