Monitor usage

Our Extremity monitor is a lithium fluoride chip which measures all radiation types that contribute to Hp(07). It measures doses from beta rays and photons to the hands and is used in addition to other monitors that measure the whole body. 

Extremity monitors are provided in a single, adjustable format which will accommodate all finger diameters. Each monitor has a printed unique identification number. An issue period of four weeks is offered. It’s typically used in the nuclear medicine industry and other industries where workers are handling radiation sources.

**The extremity monitors are required to be returned to ARPANSA within 60 days from the end of the wearing period date. Monitors not received within 60 days will incur a non-refundable non-returned/late fee of $30 + GST per monitor. This amount cannot be credited back.

Each delivery of extremity monitors will include a control monitor free of charge.
