The radon monitor comprises of a Polyallyl Diglycol Carbonate (PADC) plaque loaded inside a holder prior to delivery to measure possible average radon concentration.
These are passive detectors which means you will not see a value displayed in real-time, a report will be provided upon return of the monitor to ARPANSA.
These monitors can be ordered by employers to use as an area monitor or a wearable monitor for workers.
If you wish to measure the indoor radon concentration from within your home, you can hire a personal-use radon meter found in our hire of radiation meters section.
