ARPANSA will publish safety alerts to notify radiation users, regulators and the public of significant issues arising from radiation incidents.
The subject of the alert is either associated with a real incident or near miss. These alerts are typically published where a specific safety concern is not already well known in the community with the goal to raise awareness. These safety alerts are issued as information becomes available through reporting to the Australian Radiation Incident Register.
