Inspections play an important part in ARPANSA's compliance and performance monitoring program.
A well implemented, rigorous inspection program supplemented by monitoring and performance reviews provides assurance that licence holders are operating safely. A risk-informed inspection program defines the minimum number of planned inspections to evaluate performance over a defined period. Additional inspections are scheduled as needed.
