Image guided interventional procedures (IGIP) utilise fluoroscopy to guide medical interventions in cardiac catheterisation laboratories, vascular interventional laboratories and hybrid operating theatres (e.g. coronary angiogram and endovascular aneurysm repair (EVAR)).
ARPANSA is gathering data for the creation of IGIP (fluoroscopy/angiography) diagnostic reference levels (DRLs).
Current IGIP diagnostic reference levels
Adult diagnostic reference levels (DRLs) were released for diagnostic coronary angiography procedures on 31 March 2020.
